Hello art lovers...and art buyers,
The time has come to share some of my art with the world.
And for this I found a very nice place, a new gallery in town, new and not so new. It is called C9 ART TO GO and is a further development of C7 Gallery. The location and the visual identity are new and the concept is different than usual. Once you have decided to buy, you pay, you get the goods packed in, and leave the place with your new art piece under your arm. This way, you avoid having to wait up to a month to get the piece. Another advantage of this concept would be that the tourists have the opportunity to buy art and have a direct delivery if they wish to avoid shipping costs.
It is a very chic place, ultra central located, very close to Rådhuspladsen (Town Hall Square) and even though is not a very big space it has a large collection of works of art in different styles, subjects and techniques, from both famous and not so well known artists.
The Current artists (always changing as the new ones come):
Rikke Diemer, Peter Hentze, Herman Stilling, Frida Stilling, Metta Carter, Magnus Stilling, Karen Backhaus, Susanne Neertoft, Anders Hegelund, Niels Wamberg, Johan Adam Linneballe, Andreea Vlad, Per Hillo, Trine Christensen, Anne Karrebæk, Charlotte Yde, Sirinat Charluck, Chresten Kruchow, Martine Zvada, Antonia Giannoccaro etc.
The owner of the C9 Gallery is the lovely Charlotte Weile, Curator, Architect MAA, that has many years of experience in curatorial activity.
In 1976 she successfully graduated from Royal Academy of Art, she worked as a furniture designer for the prestigious Magasin du Nord, and afterwards, she started to work for the Federation of the Danish Architects. For twelve years she was the chairman of the Design Department and for two years member of the board for the Whole Federation of Academic Architects in Denmark, that has about 6000 members, where she had the title of Architect MAA. She stopped in 1996 and open her own art studio and gallery with the name C7 (the number 7 comes from the address of the location). In the mean time she studied Art History at University of Copenhagen, and had exhibitions in her own house that was built in 1730.
Moving the gallery at the new address - Mikkel Bryggers Gade 9, also the name of the gallery changed (see again the number reference) and the concept took other form, being transformed in ART TO GO. The opening of the gallery took place on 9th of May this year and is successful since then.
The works I am selling are part of the "Queens" series, illustrations of different feminine characters, with the emphasis on the feminine part, a mix between figurative, decorative and abstract. The theme goes around the concepts of feminity, maternity, the goddess archetype, the queen and the female figure.
So, me and C9 ART TO GO Gallery are inviting you to pass by, have a look, and buy some art!
Have a nice weekend! ;)
Love,
Andreea
